As an elder of the Interferon world (dose and length of time on the stuff) I have devolved a survival kit for folks on INF. Considering that there are many people who on the list who are just getting started on the stuff I figured I should share with you all what has worked for me. Program your doctors phone number on your speed dial list Stock up on Tylenol (I'm not going to debate this any more) Keep a pitcher of water next to the bed Buy a heating pad Have your doctor write a script for lomitil Have your doctor write a script Pepcid Keep a few days worth of canned food in the house Have extra batteries for the tv remote control Keep a big bowl of Jello in the fridge (is a solid, is it a liquid, I don't) great for combating hunger and dehydration at the same time Bagels Club soda Candied ginger Peppermint Lifesavers Stock up on pet food Aveeno for the bath (I suffer with a lot of joint pain for which I take hot baths, the Aveeno really helps protect my skin) Make a list to your true friends, those who will gladly go to the store for you without bitching how busy they are.
